Thx for appreciating! Word-root of "tract" has "stretch of land or water", plus one can extend that to any aspect of Nature.

Benja, glad you appreciate, and yeah it's one of my daily disciplines to notice how often i get dis-tracted... and then focus attention again with some aspect of the natural world or the whole Earth.

That's a great tool that you've developed there, we all need more discipline to bring our attention towards the earth and what's truly important in our lives.

Good summary, Benja! Finding accurate or news from investigative journalists is like needles in haystacks. One of my methods is to scan headlines at the sites i frequent, and read what seems pertinent/catches my attention. Also to look for quotes (what people actually say) and facts (can be tricky) b/c much reporting, as your post shows, gets twisted. The word "distract" is from dis- “apart from” + “tracts of land and water” -- so that's one of my guides for staying in touch with what's truly important.

Thank you, Mankh! Yes, right, it takes some time of research to find good journalists. I like how the word dis-tract helps you to not get distracted, it has such a beautiful meaning, I'll remind myself of it next time when I'm on the internet.
